NVG-222: A phase 1 and 2 trial of NVG-222 in people with relapsed or refractory lymphomas
This trial is testing the treatment NVG-222 in people with certain lymphomas which have come back after (relapsed) or not responded to (refractory) treatment.
You can share the following ISRCTN.com Identifier with your medical team so they can find out more about the trial: ISRCTN14974342
Trial aim and background
The aim of this trial is to try to establish the best dose for the treatment NVG-222 in people with certain types of lymphoma, as well as how safe and well tolerated it is. It will also aim to see how effective the treatment is.
NVG-222 is a type of targeted treatment called a bispecific antibody. Bispecific antibodies work by recognising and attaching to two different types of cell at the same time: cancer cells and immune cells. This helps your immune system to target and kill the cancer cells more effectively. NVG-222 also has an ‘off switch’ which is designed to reduce the risk of serious side effects by turning off the drug early if these arise.
Part of this trial is a phase 1 (early phase) trial. Little is known about the safety and effectiveness of this treatment. You might not benefit from the treatment, but the trial will give important information about this new treatment, which could help other people in the future.
